Growing up on a farm in the Midwest, Mike gained a very broad skillset, to include driving heavy equipment, welding, animal husbandry, building all sorts of things, and all things related to farming. While venturing into architecture and home construction, he also enlisted in the Army National Guard as Infantry, earning an Honorable Discharge and some money to head to college. The first of 5 farm kids to attend university, he began college with no real direction, but quickly chose a major in Biology, with an interest in the origin of life. This led to studies in space exploration and astrobiology while finishing up his B.S. at Purdue University. After pharmaceutical positions with Bayer and Pfizer, he started Microbiology graduate studies at the University of Hawaii (to later include "minors" in marine biology, SCUBA, and surfing). Leaving the Islands to pursue Doctoral work at Arizona State led to research in geomicrobiology and further interests in astrobiology. Teaching Biology at the community colleges, Mike has also acted as a science curriculum developer/editor for middle/high school students, with a focus on integrating Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. Mike developed a non-profit organization promoting STEM outreach in K-12 classrooms. He still teaches part time at the local community college, holds a USCG Master Captain's license, and trains divers off SPI. As a father of 3, he enjoys sharing time with friends and family and taking his family on adventures.
All along this path, he has been a builder and creator. From helping to roof the family home at 12 years old, to building modern log homes and conventional homes with his brother's business, to doing all kinds of home remodeling and repair for personal projects and investor fix-and-flips, he knows his way around a hammer and saw. With 7 years previous experience as a Realtor in the Phoenix, AZ market, he is actively involved in investments in AZ as well as TX. He brings his scientific skills to real estate, and hands-on building experience to improving those assets; and yours!
Growing up between the two worlds of urban Texas and coastal Mexico, Adriana Martinez’s young mind almost immediately latched onto art as a means of expressing the beautiful experiences and environments she encountered. Her tools back then were crayons. Those crayons soon evolved into a scholarship, and then into a life path.
Adriana has remained true to her love of art and native wonders ever since - a heartfelt pursuit which has led her all around the world from Texas to San Miguel de Allende to Florence, Italy; from Italy to Spain and Morocco; from Europe back to Mexico, dramatically steeped in its own complex web of histories and rich, resplendent cultures.
A graduate from The Institute for Art and Restoration, Palazzo Spinelli in Florence Italy, Adriana is a multifaceted artist working on indigenous ethnic based series and private commissions. She has shown her work in many galleries in Mexico, Spain, Italy and the US.
Adriana brings her talent to property services for interior design, home decor, and related needs. She is available as a consultant for your living space projects.
